Hello, I own a 97 4Runner and have the following symptoms:

Significant inside tire wear on front tires

Slight vibrations at highway speeds, I can feel a quick left and right movement in the steering wheel,

Vibration upon breaking, feels like warped rotors, but they're not warped, recently replaced thinking that was my vibration problem.

Steering seems tight, but my wife always complains when she has to drive this vehicle cuz she says it tends to "pull". I only notice that problem on heavily rutted roads and always assumed it was the big (but factory sized) tires. I don't believe this to be a related problem, but perhaps you know better than I.

This is a four door v6, selectible 4wd, 165k miles, never been in an accident.

I need to fix this problem asap as doing a long road trip, and I didn't realize how much inside tire wear I had till I checked it today.

Any help GREATLY appreaciated. TIA

You need a good alignment shop. May simply be toe-in, but could be worn RE's, ball joints, etc., even bad shocks.

Does anyone know of a good (won't overcharge) alignment shop in the Minneapolis area? and what are "RE's"? Thanks again.

Oh, and if anyone else has suggestions, I would appreciate it. I hate walking into a mechanics shop without have a good idea of what is wrong. Thanks again.
