I'm getting 17MPG HWY in my 93 Trooper LS 3.2ldohc V6 with 115k. Is that normal? It is a manual 5-speed.

You've got hear about this: I found this vehicle about 8 weeks ago for sale for $2,800. It had been wrecked and needed a new front bumper. I talked the guy down to $1,100 which could either have been one of two things: 1) he needed quick cash and was willing just to get rid of it; or 2) it could have had serious problems and I was in for it.

Guess what: Option 2 was it. The vehicle had had 3 clutches in 2 years. I took it to the mechanic that did the cluthces and they said it would need a new one for about $1,500 (parts and labor). I wasn't buying this so I took it to my mechanic. $400 dollars later and with a new hydrolic hose the vehicle ran fine! He also inspected the clutch, etc. and said it would be good for over 100k since it only has 400 miles on it. I test drove my new 93 Trooper LS that is in great condition about 5,000 miles all over the pacific northwest and then back home to Nebraska on our family vacation last week.
