2001 sunfire won't start 2.4LGBeers 06-19-2005, 01:41 PM Hello My sunfire Didn't want to start then after about a min or two it worked fine. Then the next morning, NO GO. I've changed the crank sensor and the fuel pump is coming on when I turn on the key. I don't know what it is, any ideas? deadBird 06-19-2005, 04:58 PM If it dies right after going >55mph then it's your TCC solenoid. GBeers 06-20-2005, 05:58 AM I would be happy if I could get it to 55. It doesn't just doesn't. It did this a couple of different times to me now. I had it towed to the dealer and it started fine and ran fine for a month. It runs ok after starting. I tried changing the plugs, and I have spark to all plugs. robzone0911 06-20-2005, 06:01 AM When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced? deadBird 06-20-2005, 06:29 PM That or a weak pump. GBeers 06-20-2005, 10:08 PM I replaced the fuel filter 2-3 months ago. It finally started today, I'm thinking it is an electrical problem cause today was the first dry day in a week. deadBird 06-21-2005, 12:36 AM Then it's more than likely your ignition coils. Also, maybe replace the spark plug wires with non-cheap ones also... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
