I am installing a 2000 2.2 engine in my 84 S-10 pickup. It originally had a 2.8 V6, but I want to update it to a late model engine. I am not looking for performance with it, just fuel economy. I need to find out what motor mounts I can use for it. The mounts for the new motor and the original are competely different, and I cannot find the ones for the frame to use the mounts on the engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't use that motor, they're as bad as the 2.8L. Always blowing head gaskets, and what not.

If you want a dependable motor with the least amount of work drop in a 3.4L from a 93 or newer Comaro or firebird.
They are bolt for bolt the same engine as your 2.8L,so your parts will bolt right on.
This will make the carb swap easy, just use your exsisting intake manifold

The fuel economy wouldn't change that much with a 4 banger motor anyways. Just don't punch the throttle unless you have to.
