Does anyone know how to program the keyless remote entry for a 96 EX civic without the stock factory stereo? And also is the EX equipped with the system or do I speciffically have to go to the dealer?

i know you almost need to have the stock radio, but there may be some typeof bi-pass or something.

it is just easier to have the factory radio and drop it behind the dash. if you dont have the stock radio you should be able to get so for $30 or so from the junk yard.

Yep the keyless works through the radio. Also the dome lights. Without the factory radio stuffed behind the dash you can't use keyless anymore.
