I dont...took it in 8th grade. :iceslolan firedemonlord89 06-17-2005, 11:48 PM dont remeber algebra 1can some1 hlp? honda_racing101 06-18-2005, 11:12 AM superbluecivicsi already explained it. its the air to fuel ratio like he said- air:fuel. superbluecivicsi 06-18-2005, 01:25 PM air:fuel ratio is commonly used to analyze the combustion process. A stoich amount is the ideal amount where the fuel is completely burnt. it is the ratio of air to fuel measured by its wieght when drawn into the engine. it is part of a big system that aids in the controlling of fuel. basically, the AF is measured by the o2 sensors. if the o2 sensors find the mixture too rich, it will send a singal to the ecu telling it to lean it out. if it is too lean, the ecu will richen it. the lamen man's way of explaining it is: if you had 12 white michael jacksons to 1 black michael jackson and tried to burn em in court. the mixture would come out rich because the the man is just too rich to be convicted of a crime. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
