Would air shocks help a heavily loaded K1500 Suburban regain 1-2" of ride height or would something from Airlift work better?

Personally I wouldn't use a shock absorber to give my vehicle a lift.Replacing the springs and getting them with extra springs or with overload capabilities would be better.Another option would be to install air bags on the existing suspension.Air bags can be inflated when carrying the extra weight,or deflated when the load has been removed.
Air shocks may be the cheaper way to go,but think how long you plan on keeping the vehicle and go from there.

I appreciate the input. I've been thinking an extra leaf in the rear springs would probably be best. The truck will remain loaded as long as I keep it.
