LS/vtec with N20dimeondubs 06-14-2005, 04:53 PM ok my friend has a 99 civic with an ls/vtec and he now wants to add n20,he planned on upgrading to eagle rods and weisco pistons but wanted some input on if it would be safe to run it and what kind of shot he should run,here are the specs on the motor: ITR AEM COLD AIR INTAKE ITR INTAKE MANIFOLD BORED THROTTLE BODY 64.2MM SKUNK2 STAGE 2 CAMS SKUNK2 CAM GEARS RC 440 INJECTORS JDM B16 PISTONS LS RODS HEAD WORK PORT AND POLISH/MILLED HEAD 30/1000/RACING VALVES SKUNK2 VALVETRAIN TODA HEADER TYPE ONE EXHAUST COMPRESSION IS AT 12.2 TO 1 HONDATA S200 (PROGRAMMED TO REV OUT TO 9 GRAND) Italian_GT 06-15-2005, 04:54 AM easy 100 shot, maybe even 150. not quite sure though Ace$nyper 06-15-2005, 11:09 PM wow he shouldn't be revving that high at all to start let alone spraying 100 shot or even maybe 150 as posted before. do rods and pistons other wise think of your rod and well ever step on a twig? dimeondubs 06-16-2005, 11:11 PM ok so you think he will be safe if he does rods and pistons?,he will seldom use it and only wanted to run a 75 or maybe 100 shot Ace$nyper 06-17-2005, 07:39 PM rods yes will be needed and depending on what his goal is pistons might be a good idea. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
