all 3 brake lights on all the time. WTF?cartophilus 06-13-2005, 08:24 PM All three of my brake lights are staying on, even with ignition off, even with brake fuse pulled. Any ideas? BlenderWizard 06-13-2005, 09:04 PM sounds like your brake light sensor is stuck. I have no clue as to where it would be on this truck, though cartophilus 06-13-2005, 09:24 PM Oops, I didn't specify truck. 2000 Z-71 extended cab. Brake light switch is near the top of the pedal's shaft. Is that what you're talking about? That's a replaceable part, not fixable. I haven't had a chance to test it. BlenderWizard 06-13-2005, 09:27 PM Yeah, that would be it. I didn't mean that you hadn't told me what year truck you have, but the last Chevy pickup that needed work done to that sensor that I worked on was an 84. I didn't know if they had kept it the same or not. Guess they did. cartophilus 06-13-2005, 10:18 PM This part sticking would make my brake lights stay on? BlenderWizard 06-13-2005, 11:12 PM yes, because when you push the pedal, it depresses the button on the part. If it got stuck after it had been pushed, it would just stay on. broughy84 06-13-2005, 11:20 PM when you press that pedal, it releases that button. Check it out anyway, it could cause this, however I wouldn't think it would with the fuse pulled. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
