In the video they raced from like a 50 mph roll. So its kind of a different situation

Well, I never seen the video nor do I know anything about the Camaro other then what I read on here, so I really can't say much about it, lol. I just know my car wouldn't hook worth a shit on the street, no matter if it was from a dead stop or a 50 mph roll, lol and its a purpose built race car, lol.

Either way, that EVO is a bad street car that somebody has spent A LOT of money on.

Actually, the fact that a purpose built "track car" beat a street car with 600+ hp on the streets is amazing. Race cars don't do so hot on the street. Mine probalby doesn't have 600 hp at the flywheel, let alone the back tires but your car would beat me on the streets. I just couldn't hook up, not even a little bit.

Put that race on a track and it would have been more then a raping if the Camaro beat it by a car lenght on the streets (I never watched the video). But anyways, track cars, or purpose built cars suck on the streets, lol. So loosing by a car lenght on the street to a track car is nothing to brag about at all. Now if it were on a drag strip it'd be a little different story though.

I dunno. Watch the video. They're starting at close to freeway speeds. Traction is not an issue in this particular race...especially considering the Camaro is sporting about 40 inches of rear tire. If anything the Evo's parasitic drivetrain loss can be considered a disadvantage.

In this case the "track" car is a dragster, not an autox cruiser also. Which leads me to wonder how the AWD Evo would fair from a dig. Before all you AWD lovers blurt out "teh Ebo will smoke it yo", keep in mind that a purpose built 500hp+ dragster like the Camaro in that video will put down 60ft times very similair to an Evo...1.4 - 1.6 seconds. Additionally that Evo most likely wouldn't need to shift into 5th gear (a cruising gear) to finish the 1/4 mile. My vote goes to the Evo in the 1320ft, but I'm really impressed how it did against the Camaro in that freeway run. Not to make excuses, but a 50-120mph sprint is the forte for a heavy V8 muscle car. The Evo is designed to be 0-100mph monster.

Well, I would try and d/l it but I've got very slow dial up now and it'd probably take 2 hours to get it d/led, lol.

My car probably has 500 hp and its a purpose built drag car. My best 60' to date is a 1.464 and that came at a track that is always a tenth slower then every other track I've ever been too. So, I'm gonna say I could pull 1.39s at most any other track.

Anyways, I'll agree with ya that those 50-120 mph sprints are not what an AWD car is "designed" for, but its even more so not what a purpose built drag car is designed for, lol. So I wouldn't bet against a purpose built drag car on a track going up against a street car.

Has this guy gone to the track yet? I think we need to see some numbers.

I would guess that he might have buckets of turbo lag, probably fry the clutch clean off the evo, or he might have traction issues with the evo in a strip. but i honestly think off the line most of the cars hes raced should own him.

that is one sick car, it really is. ANd those guys in the viper, damn i wouldnt be suprised if the passenger bent over and gave the driver a blowjob.

I also think its pretty damn funny that Dampachi finally got banned, always hated that cock SOB.
