Some mirror help please...

I purchased some heated mirrors from a 98 Ram for my 96 Ram. The wiring harness from my old mirrors has 3 wires (red/green/brown). The mirrors off the 98 has 6 wires (2 light blue,2 black,1 white,1 white with black stripe). I'm not concerned with hooking up the heated part right now I just need to know where my 3 wires go to on the new mirrors wires to have the power part work? I have searched the web,forums,etc high and low and even Chilton's for that matter with no luck. If anyone has done the mirror swap from the 98-01 to the 94-97 please,please,please let me know how to hook these wires up. I'm gonna post everywhere on the net I can think of to get an answer. Thanks all!!!

Before you hook it up, turn on the vehicle and put a voltmeter on the wires. Then activate the mirror controls one by one to see which wires get voltage and how much. There should be a schematic with the new mirrors that shows which wires are for what. Use the voltages you got to estimate where to hook up the wires.

Also, if you haven't already taken both mirrors off, you could perform the same tests, voltage wise, and figure it out that way. I'd also check inside the new mirrors, compare to the contacts that were in the old ones.

Does anyone have a pdf file for the wiring on the mirrors and the heating part. I am trying to hook these up now
