Hey guys,

I know we all have problems with shakes and rattles with out trucks, thats just a part of owning a jimmy/blazer. One thing i wanted to know though, my rear hatch is not closing tight enough. It will rattle itself loose and the lights will stay on cause the computer thinks the hatch is open. i will have to open up the hatch and close it again for the lights to go off. I wanted to know if there was a way to make the rear hatch close tighter? maybe a peice i might need to buy or even better just a small tightening of some bolts maybe? this is on a 98 4 door Jimmy.

thanks guys, much appreciated help on this one!

I would say to open it up and see if you can move the latch. I just had to fix the actuator on mine, the plastic arm broke.

My hatch stuck out a little too. You can adjust bumpers on the bottom part of the rear door with torx bits. The hatch will sit better then.
