.:R32:. Two toneyanks111 06-12-2005, 12:11 AM Well, I noticed that the latest trend was to photochop the R32, and bacause I drive a red Golf, I figured I would give this a try. Work done: - 2 tone paint - Smoked Headlights - Carbon Fiber Hood - SSR GT3 rims (Rear wheel is fooked, I know) - Front Lip (95% brushed, I c/p the splitter, and did the reflections myself!) Please Note: Yes, I know there are some problems with the lip, I noticed them after I uploaded the pics, and I will fix it in the morning. Yes, carbon fiber does produce reflections. Examples: http://www.eurogearusa.com/Vortex/MK4-OEMCFH-3.jpg http://www.motorsportdesigns.com/images/vortex/jetta/5.jpg http://www.motorsportdesigns.com/images/catalog/aerodynamics/gt/vw/boser1.jpg http://img236.exs.cx/img236/7680/civicegcarbonhood27jj.jpg http://img236.exs.cx/img236/822/r33plainoncarlrg0ag.jpg I'm pretty sure a carbon fiber hood makes reflection in color :p yanks111 06-12-2005, 10:38 AM I fixed the lip so the perspective is correct, and I also reverted back to the stock OZ Aristo wheels because I personally think they fit extremely well. I also removed a little of the color in the hood. http://img256.echo.cx/img256/6210/r32chop2tone25kp.jpg supershiro 06-12-2005, 11:18 AM The inital chop was amazing, the only thing i saw wrong with it was the rims, and a small line of blue below the grill to the right of the symbol. I dont really know why you changed the hood, the CF was amazing, actually i wanted to even ask how you pulled it off that well... The lip was better in the first chop than the one where you "fixed it", i mean the center part when you fixed it added blue tent to it which, just doesnt look right for that spot, maybe a slightly black shadow would of made it alittle better from the inital chop but... overall, props dude, before i looked at the origonal i thought the inital car was silver :P, thats what i get for not looking at the orig first, but i aslo thought you added the stickers, that would of been one hell of a job :P makes me want to try it to be honest. yanks111 06-12-2005, 12:05 PM Okay, okay I changed the CF hood back to my original, and I fixed the blue tint on the lip. http://img239.echo.cx/img239/3241/r32chop2tonefix0wp.jpg I personally think that looks pretty damn good, not much else to change on the car :) virtual_starwind 06-12-2005, 02:42 PM Yeah your right, NOW its perfect ;). ( but really how did you do the CF?..., its like the perfect tightness and swirl ) -Star yanks111 06-12-2005, 04:50 PM I actually got the pattern from someone here about 2 years ago. My process is somewhat difficult...takes a little bit of creativity, and alot of blurring :) I'm sure the texture is right in front of your nose :p assad_l 06-12-2005, 07:04 PM Thats one excelent chop! looks alot better with the stock rims. grantrl78 06-12-2005, 08:26 PM That looks really good! I like the hood the most. yanks111 06-15-2005, 07:04 PM I know alot of people like my carbon fiber, but I decided to try a new pattern I recently got a hold of. Personally I think it looks better, but look for yourself: http://img71.echo.cx/img71/7997/r32chop2tone9zb.jpg virtual_starwind 06-15-2005, 08:43 PM looks alright... kinda bright to say the least... Legionofone 06-15-2005, 10:39 PM its ok... ur CF on the other cars was better than this car... that mesh looks better on that car... plz post ur meshes... yanks111 06-15-2005, 11:30 PM its ok... ur CF on the other cars was better than this car... that mesh looks better on that car... plz post ur meshes... So what your saying is the new CF looks decent, but needs some work. And the original CF and on my other chops is actually a gradient pattern I made from an old tutorial. It involves not only using the pattern, but also brushing, blurring and smudging. The new carbon fiber on the R32 is from this picture: http://img179.echo.cx/img179/4894/carbonfiber4fm.jpg Yay! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
