No power steering on my '99 DX?Rampart Crawler 06-11-2005, 08:44 PM Well, I have noticed compared to other cars that I have driven, that it is a bit harder to turn the wheel.... Just a bit. I have no problem with it as a daily driver, and it still handles very well. Anyway, I was reading a topic on this forum and it said that a '97 civic dx hatchback didn't have power steering, and when someone questioned if it is like that on every dx, someone said he is glad that don't have it, and will not having it when they get a new car. Anyway, is there any advantage to not having power steering? I'm just curious. Thanks... iVteC_PoWeR 06-11-2005, 10:48 PM I dont think there's any advantage of not having p/s. It's just nice to have and makes steering easier. My friend has a '91 hatch B16a swap with no a/c and p/s and it feels just fine.
