I have a small problem and could use some help. The other day I was smacked in the rear. They hit the spare tire & mounting bracket and slightly dented in the gate, no issues I thought. Today I tried to open the window and gate and guess what - the window would open but the locking lever broke internally and now just spins and will not open the gate. On a second note the window will not latch anymore. How can I open the gate from the inside?? I noticed a "notch" on each side of the gate is this a pry point for the latch?? Any help would be nice.

The t-handle has one post on it the hits another post on the latch. The post are not hitting because the tailgate is bent. To get the glass open play with the part of the latch that you can see on the inside. There is a little bar that stops the latch from opening, move it forward and the glass part of the latch will open. If you can get in the latch hole you might be able to grap on to the post of the latch, lift it up. It must have been hit hard for this to happen. I'm surprized that the rear glass did not break.
