Does anyone else out there have these problems with their 03 CTS? Transmission slipping?
Left rear air bag cover popping off?
Starter key disabled?
Clock?
Leak coming from the firewall?
moisture in the rear light / tag area?
Radio?
I have had the transmission replaced last year.
The rear air bag cover has been replaced twice.
The wiring cluster has been replace twice. This seems to have solved the problem of the car dying while driving.
The clock on the dash was not the same time as the clock radio. Replaced some module.
Leak specialists sealed the firewall. Had to take out the seats to dry the carpet.
replaced rear light / tag part.
My big problem now.....
The radio has been replaced four times. The first time it was replaced the onstar calling button on the radio did not work so the steering wheel was replaced. The third time it was replaced the onstar button did not work but I didn't bother to have it fixed. Now on this last radio I specifically asked for the steering wheel button to be put back in working order. The dealership gave me a line about my car is a 4th generation car and the onstar button never worked to operate onstar only to mute the radio. Then I was told that when the radio is "rebuilt" some componants are compromised and that the onstar part is one of those parts! Also with my first radio you could turn the clock part off so that you read the messages from the radio stations. I am going back and forth with the dealership about the radio now. Anyone out there with thes problems and are they resolved?

My 03 had the clock problem of lagging by about 10 minutes or so from the digital setting. Seems to be common to the 03. I had my radio replaced because of issues with the tuner losing sensitivity after 20 minutes or so. This seems to have cleared up the clock problem, even though the ticket said they removed the battery cable as the solution. Also my old radio display did not show the clock while this new one does. Also common to the early 03. I just bought my 03 off a lease less than 2 weeks ago and it spent a week in the shop because of the radio and antenna module.
