? how to remove brake light bulbcrazyclimbr 06-09-2005, 12:16 AM 2003 4 Runner with a left brake light not working. There is a small access panel that I removed and then disconnected the plug from the light but I cannot figure out how to pull the bulb. I tried to twist and then just pull on it but nothing. I'm hesitant to use a lot of force for fear of breaking something. Anyone know how to do this? TIA Steve blazzingbrandon 06-09-2005, 01:16 AM well, the bulb probably isnt greased, so thats why its so hard to get out. i suggest that you just pull as hard as you can or wiggle to see if it will move. also, try a tiny screwdriver to pry it off with, whats the worst that can happen? its already blown right. and when u put the new bulb in, put light bulb grease so this wont happen a second time. crazyclimbr 06-09-2005, 02:29 AM I should have said the plastic piece that holds the bulb instead of the bulb. I'm going to try it again and just pull harder. Maybe use a pr. needle nose to get a grip on it. Thanks Goatwater 06-09-2005, 09:22 PM try pushing in then turning anti-clockwise and then pull. crazyclimbr 06-09-2005, 09:31 PM try pushing in then turning anti-clockwise and then pull. good idea i hadn't thought of that. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
