I'm redoing doing the heads on 884Runner V6, so top of motor is off.


I noticed that on the bottom of fuel injectors there are plastic caps with holes in their centers where fuel squirts thru. One of those caps is cracked and part of cap is missing. What is the function of these caps. Can i just pull the cracked cap off and replace, or do I need to buy new injector. Thanks, Steve
