'00 GC on the fritzjaredvanscoder 06-08-2005, 08:44 PM Here's the synopsis: the other day my 2000 GC laredo (6cyl) just died, as i was driving down the road. I pulled over, cranked it, didn't start. Tried again, started, drove fine. Yesterday, started it, drove about 50 ft., died again. Then wouldn't start. Five minutes later, cranked, and ran. Started off to autozone to have it diagnosed, died on the way. Restarted, got there, and it dies again. Towed it home. So, now it wont start. Cranks beautifully, but nothing. I figured it wasnt getting fuel. Checked pressure in the rail, we're good there. So now I'm stuck. My problem seems to closely resemble those in these posts: http://www.automotivehelper.com/topic403362.htm http://www.automotivehelper.com/topic396867.htm If anyone has any suggestions (or wants to buy a used GC!), I'm wide open. Thanks in advance, Jared dksob81 06-08-2005, 11:15 PM Jared, have you checked for spark? jaredvanscoder 06-09-2005, 09:23 AM Well, since my check engine light never came on, I never bothered to run the all knowing code display. I finally tried and got the code P0320, which I found out to be a fault in the crankshaft position sensor. After doing some more internet research I found that these things constantly give GC's trouble, and the symptoms match mine. So, now for $45 I'm going to replace it this afternoon. Does anyone have any suggestions as how to remove, and accurately replace it? Thanks in advance. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
