gas prices and an ultra... bummer..deadring 06-08-2005, 07:41 AM omg, the price of a gallon of premium here right now, is 80 cents a liter times 3.8 = 3.04$ USD or in metric version, 99 cents CDN / liter so i just fueled my Pa for 52$ USD / 64$ CDN !! AARGH ! im gonna buy an ol 1983 VW rabbit diesel and fuel it illegally with home heating oil! :banghead: these are times when i ask myself "WHY did i have to buy a supercharged buick ?!" Deadring rotaran 06-08-2005, 12:34 PM I pay 1,14USD/l, be content with your prices. I fill up my tank for 64USD. Mike deadring 06-08-2005, 01:41 PM oh believe i wil not be content of it.. i know someone from gemany and he has a seat itbiza with a 900 cc 4 cylinder engine and 40 horsepower.. i know that gas prices in germany are high and have been like that for some time now.. it's just that here, we got oil ALL OVER the ****ing place and half of it goes to the goverment diguised in taxes.. sooooooo.. im mad.. oh and btw, the person i know in germany, has a much higher paying job than the normal canadian citizen so... if your payed 26$/ hour and have to pay 1.14 $ liter ( as the guy i know is) then you are in a much better situation then i am ;) Deadring wrightz28 06-08-2005, 05:08 PM This is why I keep a back up 4 banger. People may laugh from time to time, but I get mu laughs back when it comes to refill time and high prices. wrightz28 06-08-2005, 05:08 PM This is why I keep a back up 4 banger. Oh, and the accident with it paid for for my PA, cost to repair the nova? $.75 for a pack of washers to realign the door. deadring 06-09-2005, 10:38 AM nice .. ;) i might have to let go the pa sadly enough and go for something more drastic in MPG. i do too much mileage and i can't always use the motorcycle to go everywhere.. .. it sux when it rains on a bike.. Deadring wrightz28 06-09-2005, 10:52 AM Do like I do, find a poop box commuter for dirt cheap. Everybody knows someone who knows somebody who's getting rid of something cheap. That way, when you blow it up, you dont' care and save the car you do care about. There's 2 breeds of el cheapos out there: 1) Looks good/runs bad 2) Looks bad/runs good I usually go with option 1 and often times it ends up being something silly wrong with the car. The Nova that "wouldn't run", bought for $50. New plugs and wires, ran it for something like 3 years. Wife was rear ended, that wasn't so bad, but when she was getting out of the car, guy tried to run off and took the driver's door out of her hand. Caught him, insurance offered a settlement of $650 (75 cents and about 20 minutes to reapir, I took it and ran. Bought my PA for $400 with that settlement. Sold the nova later on for $500, bought a lesabre. Also bought a caprice $75, "blown trans". Drove awaya a few blocks, popped the hood, TV cable fully extended out of retainer. Slid it back in place, trans fixed. But of course, defeated the purpose of haveing a small car as b/up. So what the hay, sold for a 'maro. deadring 06-09-2005, 11:24 AM hehehe now that is one heck of a way to go :) wrightz28 06-14-2005, 09:33 AM What a coincidence! Driving in this morning, and saw my old Nova on a used car lot for $350! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
