i own a 2000 civic ex and every place i look it says that the ex comes with the d16y8 vtec. My cars engine says honda on the head rather then vtec. Does this mean it is not a vtec? Most people i talk to say my car is not a vtec. Can anyone help me out.

Its not a vtec. Period. The VTEC on your engine was made to save gas and sound loud, no power, no purpose IMO.

AceSynper reply was excellent, read that again.

And Again.
