Hot Tempjohndoe_57 06-07-2005, 11:06 PM Hello. I have a 1998 Buick Park Ultra 60k and sometimes the temp gets up to 219 with or without the a/c on. It only gets this high when Im at idle once I am on the highway or moving at a decent speed 20mph etc it stays at like 189 - 195. Does anybody know what the temp range should be. deadring 06-08-2005, 07:28 AM 190- 2000 seems ok.. but 220 is rather high you should check that BOTH your fans in front go ON when you put on the AC if not theres a problem. Deadring wrightz28 06-08-2005, 05:05 PM How old is the coolant? Time for a flush? johndoe_57 06-09-2005, 11:09 AM Could be, the car has 60k miles on it and I never changed it but I am the second owner also does anyone know where I can get an oil pressure sending unit for the same car wrightz28 06-09-2005, 11:18 AM Yeah, I'd definately say flush it and replace the thermostat AND radiator cap while you're at it (cheap insurance). Now would also be an opportune to examine all of the hoses as well. Would highly recomend a back flush kit, made by prestone and will have the neccessary parts and instructions, also cheap @ around $2 - 3 and does a decent job when done right. Sending unit s/b avail at any parts store, what makes you think you need a new one? johndoe_57 06-09-2005, 12:07 PM I will flush the system and see what that does the thermostat I replaced already and my oil pressure gauge is stuck on 128 and I checked the wires etc. wrightz28 06-09-2005, 12:12 PM When you checked the wires for the s/u, did you disconnect it and there was no change? Usually when a guage is maxed out that means it's grounded, unless it's a anaolog guage and the needle is physically stuck in the instrument panel bezal? johndoe_57 06-09-2005, 11:02 PM Naw I just checked to see if the wire was connected. It is the digital gauge and for the temp my fans are working perfectly!! auto trainy 06-10-2005, 05:29 AM Its only a thought, if there both digital maybey there related. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
