SuperCrew Rusting Rear Door

I and a friend have 2001 SuperCrews and each are seeing rust forming on the inside lower section of only the rear driver side door.

I would like to know if anyone else has seen this and have you had it repaired?

Do you live in an area were salt is spread on the roads in winter or salt water is nearby?
