I am looking for a trailer wiring harness. When I looked under the car, on the driver's side frame rail, I see some wires w/ connectors. Does anyone know if this is where you would connect the harness or is this for something else?

The Rodeo's trailer wiring harness should be tucked into the area with your jack, think that is on the right hand side. I have an Amigo and that is where it is.

The actual harness is behind the rear quarter panel.
On a Rodeo it is on the driver side, passenger side
on a Amigo/ Rodeo Sport.
I installed the official Isuzu wiring harness for the trailer hitch
this past weekend. If you see bits of wiring hanging from
below the body..... that's from some type of junction box
that is in the middle of the harness ----> trailer plug line.
If you follow the wires up to the body you should see (feel)
a round 1" rubber grommet where the wires feed into the inside
of the rear quarter panel.
The kit came with a wire set that had three sections on the wires.
1. The harness plug.
2. A grey junction box (not sure of function..maybe to convert from
4-plug to a 7-plug future setup? Maybe ask an RV shop if that's possible)
3. The trailer plug. The kit comes with a plastic housing that
this trailer plug sits in. The housing is what gets screwed to the hitch.
BTW: Isuzu forgot to pre-drill holes for that little housing box even though
the instructions said it was....lotsa fun drilling through thick metal =^(
The Isuzu kit is a 4-plug setup.
If you want me to fax you the instruction sheet...email me:

Good Luck!
