Code ReadersJeffFinnan 06-06-2005, 07:51 AM I saw in one post talk about the OBD II code reader. Is this the recommended one? Is it available at most auto supply stores? Thanks, Jeff DRW1000 06-06-2005, 09:12 AM It depends on whether the vehicle (and year). All 1996 and later will be OBDII but some 1994 and 1995 may be OBDI or OBDII road_rascal 06-06-2005, 09:34 AM I use a basic Equus 3100 OBDII code reader. It can be had for around $100. Nothing fancy, and it can reset the check engine light. Works for many vehicles and the documentation is decent. CoachKarl 06-07-2005, 12:37 AM Tell us year, engine milege. That'll help. My 95, 3.8 manufactured July 1995 in windsor is not totally compatible with ODB2. My neighbors manufactured Aug. 1995 is. Karl vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
