Custom floor consoles/upgrades?DjEarth 06-06-2005, 03:30 AM Is there a company that makes custom floor consoles for our SUV's? I have a 99 LS with the tape deck down at the bottom..and would like to replace it with somthing else. The point is I would like somthing different, not replace it with a factory console from GM. I see Bass Slammer makes one that fits full size blazers..would these dimensions work in our veichle though? Im not good with numbers like that. http://www.bassslammer.com/products/vehicleSpecific/chevySuburban.cfm Also was wondering..are the interior parts for Jimmys and Blazers interchangeable? If I do keep the console I am in search of a lid for the storage compartment still and am having a hard time tracking one down. Thanks everyone. rlith 06-06-2005, 09:35 AM For a custom console you need to fab one yourself. Or if you want something different you can do the column shift to centershift conversion. Yes, blazer/jimmy/bravada/s10/sonoma parts are all interchangable... Here's an after pic of my column to center shift conversion on my 95. http://www.pghconsulting.net/teal/in1.jpg http://www.pghconsulting.net/teal/in2.jpg DjEarth 06-06-2005, 11:57 AM Thanks for the idea, and interchangeable by what years? rlith 06-06-2005, 01:58 PM 94-current DjEarth 06-24-2005, 12:52 PM So no other custom console type ideas? 2000blazerls 06-25-2005, 09:03 PM How hard is it to replace the steering column shift over to the floor console shift? I have seen several of these on ebay for around $100 plus shipping and have been thinking about getting one. What all is involved in an upgrade like that? Nice job btw. rlith 06-26-2005, 05:31 AM How hard is it to replace the steering column shift over to the floor console shift?
