92 Park Ave fuel filter removal...HELP!ParkAve8-20 06-05-2005, 04:22 PM '92 Park Ave. 3800 - N/A Tried changing the fuel filter today but couldn't diconnect the fuel lines from the filter. It looks like you have to press the two plastic tabs on the fitting and the fuel line should right off, but this didn't work. Am I missing something or was it just too tight for me to pull off. Anybody have any tips or tricks for getting these stupid things off. Thanks in advance. volkerc 06-06-2005, 05:40 AM '92 Park Ave. 3800 - N/A Tried changing the fuel filter today but couldn't diconnect the fuel lines from the filter. Thanks in advance. no you were doing it right. you have to press the two tabs at the same time, and then pull. it sits snugly in there, and you don't have much room to work. but you don't need any special tools. make sure to depressurize the line before you change it. Thanks for the reply. I figured that's how it was done, just wanted to double-check in case I wasn't seeing something. I'll give it another shot tomorrow. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
