FD headlight in progress

I bought Kyoko's FD from ID series. After browsing ID vol.23 for inspiration, I decided to make the headlight in up position. Although the progress is slow, I'm actually working on it everyday. Here are some pics.

Before anyone ask, yes, I do plan to make copies, and make it available for the cost of the material and shipping for anyone interested. Just give me a little time for it.

FYI, Fujimi has done a little more mod on the FD tool than usual, and made the F/R bumpers and the hood separate, making the model virtually ready for any type of modified FD. Down side is that the kit still contains a wrong chassis and the front sits too high. Well, we know that doing only halfway is the Fujimi style. It can't be helped.

But buying is never as fun as creating...

Wow! Looks good so far! :D

Are you going to have them fixed in the up position, or have them moveable?

Yes, of course I know about the kit, but I only need the headlights, and I don't want to pay 3500 yen just for them. And being an ex resin master builder, my ethical side didn't allow me to buy the kit and make copies, so I decided to make my own. Plus, I can make one of those low rise type and double projector type with relatively simple modification of the stock one, too. :)
