Can anyone tell me if there is any trick or special tools needed for Decompressing the rear calipers on my 1998 Blazer 2wd, Are they the same as the front ones? I have never done rear disc brakes before. Any information on Ceramic vs. Semi-Metallic pads would be helpful from you guys...

:confused:Thanks, Dino

Same as the front. Just use a c-clamp and compress slowly. Watch for over fill in your brake resivoiur. As far as pads go, I use bendix ceramics on most applications. If you feel ANY ridges in your rotors turn or replace them.

Blazers call for ceramic - I would stick with them.

Update...
It took me 3 1/2 hours but well worth it, 4 rotors turned, and new bendix ceramic pads on her and she performed perfectly, I am happy as a pig in $hit now. Thanks again...
