Ok my friend has a 99 Escalade and he is wanting to put 22" rims on it and i heard that the rims will make it handle and drive differantly is this true or what

The ride will be a little stiffer. You won't have the normal bounce. Also, if it gets lowered, it will be even stiffer.

I have 22s on mine and lowered it too. It's a stiffer ride but I was willing to trade that for the look.

Well we are just wantin to put 22's on it i dont like we are goin to lower it.
So it will just be a stiffer ride, well that shouldnt be a big deal expecially with the looks.

If you don't lower it, the ride quality will only be affected by the lower profile tire due to a larger rim. My girlfriend has 24" rims on her Lincoln Navigator w/ 305/35/24 tires and the ride is still exeptionally well. You do feel the bumps on the road a little more but very minimal. With 22's, you can still have a pretty good tire side wall height. You won't regred it! I believe that my girlfriend got hers in S. Cali at a shop called Kronen Autosports, I also got my 19" staggered rims there for my 04 Infiniti G35 coupe.

You will feel heavy and stiffer.

Don't forget to mention that your handling is improved with the 22's.

I have a 2002 Mitsu Montero. Bout to get a set of 22"s for it. I'm also out looking for a 2005 Denali XL. Want some 24"s for her though. Looks very important. I've heard that with the bigger rims, the tranny gets worn out ALOT faster than normal wear. Anyone heard about this? Will the 24"s set off some of the censors? Like dashboard warning likes. Something to do with the suspension.

i have 24s on my escalade, you do feel the road bumps a little more but not to where you gonna regret it, plus you cant beat the look.

The bigger rims are worth the slightly rougher ride
