Armorall Low Gloss ProtectantCharlesW 04-15-2002, 12:00 PM Hello: Recently, I was given a 38 oz. bottle of Armorall Low Gloss Protectant. Over the years, I have heard lots of people badmouth Armorall, so I have never used it. My problem now is, being such a cheapskate, I hate to just pitch the stuff. Does Armorall deserve the bad rap it gets, or is it OK to use on vinyl and tires? Charles xivera 04-22-2002, 10:49 AM I used to be an avid user of the low gloss Armor All but, I have since switched to Meguiars interior protectant. You can keep spray a little to achieve the low gloss look or more for a high gloss luster. Plus, it smells much better than Armor All. I also remember that Armor All is not so good because of its contents. (Perhaps, Armor All reformulated the solution...) CharlesW 04-22-2002, 02:39 PM My big problem is being to tight to just pitch the stuff. Maybe I will give it to someone that is a fan of ArmorAll and forget it. Since I am a big fan of Meguiar's products, I should get their protectant. There have been several suggestions to use a product called 303. Any thoughts on this stuff? I definitely am looking for a matte finish, not the shiny look. Charles Sci-Fi 04-25-2002, 01:33 PM I use either Zymol Protectant or a good Leather Conditioner (works great on vinyl). Vasoline is still popular as well as hand lotion. Might want to read this: "Why do dashboards crack?"
