88 Type T Electra, the horn this time.1534dover 05-29-2005, 01:15 AM The horn died. I don't use the horn hardly at all but the daughter uses it when she drives. She tells me that the horn ordinarily operates when the ignition is off as well as when the car is running. I can't find a fuse for it in any fuse box. I assume it has to have a fuse. We did find a horn relay, but all the parts houses would have order one in so we couldn't try just replacing it. I would think it would have to have a fuse too, but maybe not. yogi_123rd 05-29-2005, 11:42 PM Interestingly, the horn fuse isn't listed in the owner's manual, but is mentioned. Check if your cigarette lighter is working. The fuse for the horn is usually piggybacked with another low usage device. 1534dover 05-30-2005, 03:01 AM Cigarette lighter has been shorted out for a long time, while the horn still worked. Replaced lighter, but can't find that short. Different issue than horn, I believe. 1534dover 11-19-2005, 01:50 PM Daughter took car to repair shop and he found the answer to a host of electrical problems. It was a short in the wiring to the light under the hood. Horn, blower, radio, etc. now work! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
