Vibration between 30-35 mphdiehlr 05-27-2005, 08:19 PM I just bought a 1994 Civic which tends to vibrate at speeds between approximately 30-35 mph. The vibration almost feels like going over small bumps in the road. It doesn't seem to be as noticeable when decelerating, for example gradually slowing down from 40 mph down to 20 mph. I had suspected it was the balance, so I had the balance and all four wheels aligned today, but the problem did not go away. Is it possible it's just the tires? I have 4 tires on my old '85 Prelude that MIGHT fit on the Civic (haven't tried yet). I also remember my friend's Volvo having similar problems and he said it was the motor mounts. Any insight into the cause or a possible solution is appreciated. Greenblurr93 05-27-2005, 08:40 PM this may be an obvious question but it needs to be asked... are your lug nuts tight??? diehlr 05-28-2005, 08:22 AM this may be an obvious question but it needs to be asked... are your lug nuts tight??? They were tightened to spec with a torque wrench by myself, then removed and re-tightened again to spec by the shop when the balance and alignment were done, so I don't think that is the problem. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
