Can I put a radio from a 2000 rodeo into a 1999?

I have a 1999 Rodeo LS with the premium audio cassette player. I know that adding the Isuzu 6-disc changer from that year is a simple plug in job. Does anybody know if I can I just pull the whole thing and put in the combination AM/FM/cassette/CD changer from a newer rodeo? It looks like the wiring harness is the same and that it would just screw right into the double DIN slot no problem. Any thoughts?

Also, would the taillight trim covers from a 2000 rodeo fit onto my 1999? Again, it looks like it would fit but I want to be sure.

according to car-parts.com yes the radio swap will work.

But I know the taillight trim covers from a 2000 will not fit a 99. The brake and turn signal locations are different.

they do make trim for a 99 if you are interested.

For the taillights, how about just swapping out the taillights from my '99 in exchange for those from a '00? Will they fit/mount properly?

yup, it can be done.

check www.car-parts.com and search for tail lights and see what years come up.
