Limited Slip question....bimmerboi18 05-27-2005, 09:56 AM So ok, I have bought my 525i, and and beginning the work. Ive already got started with the repairs and maintenance items, now its time for the goodies. My 328i had a good deal of power, but it also had traction control and all of the goodies to keep me out of trouble. My 92 525i however does not. I have contacted bavarian engine exchange, and plan on putting a new performance engine in my car, from what they say that will give me around 224hp. Once I chip it, do exaust, fuel pressure regulator, mass air flow meter it, etc. etc, I will have about 244-250hp. That scares me because when its wet, I can stand on it and make the tires spin until third gear, sideways, and thats with 189hp. So what do I do about keeping that power under control, in slippery conditions other than being careful. Can you do anything?? Please let me know, because this car is alot of fun, but I dont want to spend anymore time in the hospital than I already have. Thanks you guys!!! Stephen Merrill OH, ps. Are there any good air intake systems for the e34? I have the K&N replacement filter now. Celsdogg 05-27-2005, 11:34 AM i think if you dont stand on the gas and just accelerate slowly you will be fine. and get some decent tires too. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
