Finished the Valentino bike I used at the TamiyaCon in my demos.
Used Tamiya fluorescent acrylic paints for the yellow and orange and TS lacquer for the Dark Mica Blue.
The orange photographs close to the actual color, but the yellow gets blown out.
The decals go on nicely, just use patience, and a bit of decal solvent on some of the more intricate decals... - Mark

Mark,

Awesome work, as usual!! Missed you at the NNL West this year. I've never used the Tamiya acrylics. Do you use the Tamiya acrylic thinner or can you use distilled water instead? Can you also clear coat over the acrylic paint using Testors' lacquer clears?

By the way, I got inspired by your finished Caterhams and am currently working on one myself. I hope to post some pictures soon. Take care for now.

Thanks, I was way too over extended to make the trek up there this year.
I thinned them with lacquer thinner.
Don't know about the Testors lacquer clear over them, it might work, I'd experiment first, (like I should have more with these colors).
I cleared over them with urethane.
Let's see that Caterham! I have another in progress, it's progress is posted in the Street and Show section under the title "Blue Seven (Parts)"... - Mark

Mark,

Thanks for the information. I'll try the lacquer thinner. For some reason, I've had trouble posting pictures on the forum. I've built a ton of models, and will be posting them in the near future. My Caterham will be mostly box stock with a few additions. Nothing like yours. Look forward to seeing the progress on the "Blue Seven"!! Hossain

Great work Mark, makes me wanna take mine from the shelf and start it emidiately. I think you've done the colors justice and the decal work is awesome, as always.
My best regards and I'll sit back and wait for future projects.

Thanks. You won't have to wait too long, I found an old Yamaha 500 almost finished I started years ago, Hope to button it up very soon, maybe today... - Mark
