1996 Cavalier Z24 engine question.2003chevcav 05-24-2005, 11:00 AM I was under the impression that the 2.3-liter I-4 was replaced with the 2.4-liter in 1996. Is this true? Was it possible for '96 Cavalier Z24's to have the 2.3-liter? Nitrous_Boy 05-24-2005, 05:42 PM i didn't think so but i am not for sure. OverAllComa 05-24-2005, 05:47 PM Yes, it's true. I was pretty sure that I was right. But whoever posted the ad with this car was an idiot. Lots of errors! Anyways, the car was sold for $3500 canadian. It had 197,000 kms on it which I this is a little much. Ryan066 05-26-2005, 05:03 PM Thanks guys. I was pretty sure that I was right. But whoever posted the ad with this car was an idiot.
