Different Type-R Models....

Im stuck between two models of the Alpine Type-R....

SPR-69LP: 55W RMS & 30hz - 30khz, and even a Multi Layered Hybrid Fiber Cone.

SPR-694A: 50W RMS & 35hz - 30khz, Aluminum Coated Poly Cone.
In-Line 12dB HP Crossover w/ Tweeter Protection

Now, when I have a subwoofer, the extra 5 hz of the one wont matter, cause without an amp I wont ever hear that low anyway Im sure...but the second one has the inline crossover, which I think will come in handy quite alot. I really doubt the cone material matters, unless its down to pinpoint precision...but I threw it in just in case. If anyone has any advice or wants to convince me to buy the second model...speak!

Frequency response ratings are a gimmick, and so is cone material, pay no attention to either. Both of them have the 12dB/oct HP for the tweet, so that doesn't matter. Unfortunately the specs that would actually tell you how they perform aren't given, so you have to go by speculation. I believe the 69LP is the 2005 version of the 6x9 type-r coax, and the 694A is probably the 2004 version. I would imagine they would try to improve the models from year to year, so I would go with the 69LP based on that.

I'd set them both on fire...just for being 6x9's...

Hmm...I was just pondering the thought of putting in 6.5"s components and setting the tweeter in a good spot back there...would that be much more worth while than 6x9" coaxs?
