its on the automatic tranny.

its on the side of case where the linkage comes to it and tells it what gear its in. I'd replace it. Pretty easy to do.

edit* I see now you have a 5 speed....

did you do a swap? if you did don't worry at all about it. If it came with a 5 speed thats a wierd code for a manual. Maybe they use that code in general for the sensor on a manual that tells what gear your in. There is a sensor on manual that notices when you put it into Reverse so it turns the white lights on....

let me know the history of your car as far as the swap aspect so I can help you more

i got tired of my 5 speed so i swapped to at , yup!! hahaha jk :p

well its all fixed now...

here is the story:

I once bought spark plugs NGK IRIDIUM #BKR5EIX-11 then i installed them and they worked fine for a while then the engine light came on.. i didnt do anything about it, i checked the ECU and got a #33 and that is O2 sensor so i replaced it and the light went away...

after a while i noticed my car started jerking at crusing RPMs on the freeway once in a while and on the streets... feels like detonation so then what i did is changed my spark plugs back to my stock ones i had in there... im glad i didnt throw them away... and what do you know the detonation went away.... I also replaced the fuel filter during that time so i wasnt sure what fixed the problem, the sparks or the fuel filter...

So after a few weeks i didnt feel any problems and the light never came back on i then decided to do a compression test on my car and figured id put the NKG plugs in again since it was probably the fuel pump that was giving me crap...

So the same day after i replaced the plugs the light came on, on the way to work.. i got heck mad!! lol.. but im thinking dont tell me the spark plugs can be the prob. So today i did the ECU again and that how i got the #34 and the #103

So i swapped the original spark plugs back in and reset the ECU and drove around and came back and did the ECU test again and got #55 .. wich is good, nothing is wrong  now i dont feel the detonation and i feel like my power is back how it should be.. because the other day it wasnt pulling right...

Thats the story of my spark plugs. So i suggest stick with the factory plugs.. dont go with these super duper spark plugs unless you need to like if you have 400hp or something and need something else...
