stripes on a 96 FirebirdRG501 05-23-2005, 05:40 PM i found a stripe set i want to get for my firebird (96) and i was wondering if they would fit cause they dont give me a width or anything. http://www.autografics.com/pages/birds4.htm thats the link. after clicking that, click stripe sets then find the "Ram Air Style Stripes" would those fit on my hood? cause i know my hood has the little vents that are indented into the hood instead of comming out like the newer hoods. i figure they would fit sense the ram air scoops are comming up instead of pushed down like my hood. Mr. Luos 05-23-2005, 05:44 PM Those probably wouldn't look too good on your car. They are designed for the Ram Air hood....obviously. I would recommend taking your car to a body shop, and just asking about some stickers. Personally, I think that money would be better spent under the hood, but it is only an opinion. I just looked through all that site, and I can honestly say that some of their products look cheap. I love that cheap ass version of the WS.6 emblem. The only thing I could see myself buying off that page would be the door 'Trans Am' stickers and the license plate cover sticker. But, I would rather take the time, and paint them myself anyways. That way I don't have any stickers trying to fall off on me. blindeyed 05-23-2005, 08:35 PM Yeah, I dont see why they wouldn't fit. They might not be a perfect fit of course, since it's designed for a different type of hood. But you could always trim it to size. RG501 05-23-2005, 09:01 PM Mr. Luos, you dont think it'll look good with stripes on it? i drew a picture of what it'd look like: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v57/rg501/Firebird/P1010086555.jpg i think it'd look good. but i guess thats just your opinion so i dont have to follow it. :) Mr. Luos 05-23-2005, 09:39 PM i think it'd look good. but i guess thats just your opinion so i dont have to follow it. :) Just me. I have never been a fan of any kinda of sticker. Seriously go talk to a body shop. They might be able to get something cut up for you. Twizted_3KGT 05-23-2005, 09:42 PM lmfao @ your picture!! hahaha ohh man that's some bad paint skills...wouldn't look too bad I don't think, but i'm all for spending money under the hood before around it. RG501 05-23-2005, 10:19 PM hehe, my paint skills are freakin sweet! im definatly getting these decals after i get my K+B CAI and my Flowmaster exhaust put on. After that, i dont really know what to do besides decals. Maybe a new cat.? i dont really know. Mr Luos, what mods have you done on your TA? Mr. Luos 05-23-2005, 11:35 PM Mr Luos, what mods have you done on your TA? You really want this list??? :icon16: SLP Airbox lid, SLP 85mm MAF, SLP Smooth bellow, LS6 intake, SLP longtube headers, SLP hi-flow cats, MSD 8.5mm Plug Wires, NGK TR55 plugs, SLP subframe connectors, SLP Strut Tower Brace, Lunati 226/234 554/575 112 LSA camshaft, Patriot Dual Gold Valvesprings w/ titanium retainers, CompCams hardened pushrods, Lou's Short Stick shifter handle, Hypertech 160 degree thermostat, Removed EGR and AIR. I have a 402ci stroker shortblock in my garage awaiting install. Just needs heads, which I am about halfway saved up for. Appearance.....not much. White faced dash gauges, custom embroidered headrests, chrome lugnuts, black WS.6 badge off a collectors edition Trans Am. RG501 05-24-2005, 06:08 PM good lord what a list. how long did it take you to do all that stuff?? and what cat would you suggest? Mr. Luos 05-24-2005, 09:42 PM I would recommend changing cats only if you need one, or if you are going with headers, and want a hi-flow cat. I went with hi-flow SLP cats when I installed my headers. I will use them again, but I am knocking them out, so it only looks like it has cats. I have had my car for almost 3 years now....been an ongoing process. Never going to be finished. RG501 05-24-2005, 09:54 PM how much HP does all that add up to? gotta be somewhere around 500. hehe. how much do you think CAI and Flowmasters will get me? 10hp? RG501 06-05-2005, 10:23 PM Mr Luos, do you know where i could get longtube headers for a 3800 v6? blindeyed 06-06-2005, 01:31 AM Mr Luos, do you know where i could get longtube headers for a 3800 v6? Not sure if this site has what you're looking for, but they have a large selection of headers for the V6's. http://www.ftpp.net/V6Main.htm koeb$ 06-06-2005, 11:01 AM doesnt your slp exhaust set-up start to sound all distorted and not so good at WOT, all the slp set-ups i have seen never sound too hot at WOT, but hopefully yours does vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
