Ok, i found this awesome deal only about 20min away from my house. A 1992 240sx, 100,844miles, 5sp, HB, Black interior, 3500$ OBO..I have emailed the guy and he still has the car and he said if im interested we could talk on a reasonable price rather than what he said. The only problem is the smash on the left side...

The only problem with the situation is that i only have 2000$ cash and my parents have offered to help pay on a car but i dont know about asking for help with the money. My dad and mom are going to split up the extra amount that i cant pay for. The smash isnt that big of a deal seing this is my first car and i dont really car about that, im not gonna be too picky. Ive been looking for a decent deal on a 240 for the past 11months and every deal i pass up is because my parents are like "wait till the end of this school year, or near summer" and now it is then and when i showed them this deal they just looked at me. Right now they say they cant help out that much because they are switching to monthly pay role, how do i ask or help get the rest of this money?

I would say its not worth a penny more then 2500 meaning thats the mot he would ever get out of me. If you can get your parents to give you like 500 dollars total and show up at his house with like 2200 or 2500 in cash make sure it is 100's. Thats how I got my car we showed up and the guy was like sorry but I have another 16 yo kid coming to get it for 2800. We were like heres 3000 cash? He gave us the keys and we were gone.

ok first off i wouldnt call that a scrath lol. THe quarter panel is wrinkled into the jam (from what i can see). THe door can prolly get away with good sanding and some bondo. The pic isnt the best. The quarter can be fixed yes, but unless you can do it yourself your going to pay alot for it. I dont know the bottom of the door also looks wrinkled where it leads into the quarter. Could possibly use a skin. But anyways i would not go over 2 grand for that car. Yes the miles are low, but shit, I got my coupe for 1600(was originally 2800 iirc), and all it has really is some minor dents and fading clear coat. Interior was emaculate. had like 160xxx miles though. I would not go over 2 grand(thats me though, your getting help from your parents so i would prolly get it for more). I dunno a better pic of the damage would be alot better to tell what maybe needed. If he doesnt take it for 2 grand then get it for 2500. Im sure your parents could each pay 250 bux to help you out. But when its time to fix that damage, be prepaired. It may set your "modding" plans back a little.

how does the actual door jam look on the inside?

i talked to her (girl selling, duh) and she said that the door funtions perfectly normal, but the panel is fucked. She said she was next to a concrete pole (light pole) in a parking lot, when she pulled out she got way to close and just grinded the side like that.

The cars worth like 2700 on kbb.com so you should offer her like 2000 cash and she will take it for sure. 3500 is a rediculous price.
