Is a b16 a direct bolt on to a 92-95 hatch. If not what would I need to do to swap it in.

depends which b16. there are diff version. obd1 b16 will bolt right in for the exception that u need to wire up vtec. u need the axels and shift linkage from the b16 too but those will be bolts in. look at the faq thread at the top of the '92-'95 Civic/EL for more info or just search
