electrical problemCokevette@yaw.org 05-20-2005, 12:35 PM We have a 1994 bonneville that is having an electrical problem. There is no power and there is a ticking noise in the panel box located on the right passenger side. The fuses are good. Any suggestions, please markwb 05-24-2005, 05:24 PM You could start at the beginning with the battery. Check the battery main terminals, both ends for clean tight connections. Get a voltage reading across the battery, then tell us what you have. randman1 05-24-2005, 10:04 PM I'm with Mark on this one. Sounds like a low voltage problem. The ticking, if it is a steady pace like once every second or so, is probably a relay in a module such as the RAC module. A relay, since very little current is needed to activate it, completes a circuit that drains more current that can be provided. This reduces the voltage across the relay coil and the relay turns off. After a second or so, enough voltage will be across the coil again and the whole process repeats. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
