The reason why I ask this questions is because I have a 97 Altima with 150,100 miles on it. My wife drives it mostly. We both love the car and plan to keep it another 3-4 years.
I know it has a lot of miles on it and I would like to overhaul it myself. I wanted to add some horse power.
Are there any suggestions on what to add to the engine (bolt on)?
It is a daily driver so I really don't need to race modify it :iceslolan
Thank you,

Add, a warm air intake, header and catback exhaust. You can get all that from ebay for prolly under 500 bucks and all together will give it more umfff.

Why rebuild if it isn't broken ? I have 293000 on mine and have done nothing but change a few gaskets an altinator , starter, tune ups and change oil religously. my view is if it ain't broke don't fix it. 150000 on an altima is nothing just keep the car maintinence up on it and drive it.

it would be alot easy to put a used motor in that overhaul the engine it would also be cheaper and faster and 150k is not alot of miles your avg.per year is 18k in 4 year you would have about 222k my 96 sentra has 215k and going and going
