hey. my friend has an 86 caprice classic and just bought a clarion arx4670 and he asked for some help. i was just wondering what i would need in addition to the head unit to install this radio into his car. also, if you have any tips about removing the current radio, please let me know. thank you

when you take all the screws out of the fron t you will be able to pull it out some but not all the way this is because the air one of the air adjustmen cables is still connected. to get to it you will have to remove the glove box then it will be in plain view. also when you go to install the radio the ash tray mount has a piece that sticks up in the back that a part on the stock radio went in (youll see when you pull it out) this will possibly have to be removed in whatever way you see fit unless you find another way to mount it.
Glad i could help......peace.......
