View Full Version : selling my ciera and looking.... (compact cars?) selling my ciera and looking.... (compact cars?) mike5721947 05-17-2005, 11:12 PM what do you think? something under $1500-2000 but it can be crap so even up to $2500 also am thinking of something i can throw some preformance parts on and race at the local circle track and some mountain roads. gigglesnirt 05-18-2005, 08:34 AM nissan sentras, mazda miatas, accords, civics, 1st and 2nd generation rx7, the list goes on and on, out of all of them, i think iw ould go with the 1st gen rx7 or miata. mike5721947 05-18-2005, 07:32 PM well im looking for something that will be a good contender for a little racer (roll cage, and only front seats) im thinking something around 1985-1990 im also thinking of doing a one off wide body kit (main reason for the 2 door) also metal panels are a must (wide body will be metal and will be built into the fenders so its one peice) gigglesnirt 05-19-2005, 02:34 PM then in that case probably the 1st gen rx7 seems right up your alley, but why do you need a wide body? mike5721947 05-19-2005, 09:46 PM i dont need it really but i love working with metal and i love the look of wode body kits (especially the ones for the datsun 510's, boxy and race inspired) also allows me to run wider rims and tires which is great for grip. my only concern with the rx7 is the rotary engine (i drive in a bit of stop and go traffic so the rotary wont be nice to drive in that) also isnt the rx7 insurence prices fairly high? also it just neat to have a small import racer to fly around town in. gigglesnirt 05-20-2005, 11:24 AM actually i never thought of the 510, if you could thats awsome, and if you dont want rotary i think miata might be a great car to drive around, then take to the track every weekend or so. Datsun Kid 06-30-2005, 12:16 AM Um datsun 510's are awsome you can do tons of different things to em put sr20 in it and you'll have a screamer if you dont mind a little mod-ing Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
