The issue of engine shutdown has already been addressed by Toyota by the following fixes.

- SSC-40A (Electronic-Control-Unit Reprogramming)
- LSC-40E (Engine Compartment Seal)

Yes, the wonders of modern technology. The next thing you know, some hacker will figure out how to give all the Priuses a virus and MacAfee and Norton will make money in a new niche market.
