Currently, we have one base model 1984 nissan bluebird with the bottom spec 2L engine and a 4 speed manual.

We then picked up a LX (we think) 1985 bluebird with a 5 speed manual (complete with stuffed motor) and we wanted to swap engines.

Will the bottom spec motor from the 84 bluebird fit into the body and 5 speed gearbox of the 1985 bluebird witout a hitch?

The reason for the swap is that that 84 bluebird has a good engine, but a terrible body, and vice versa with the 85 bluebird.

If the engines are both from the same family it should all bolt up nicely.
What engines do you have? e.g. L20, FJ20, CA20
