Do they send these to the states? I don't think I've ever seen one. Seems a little underpowered.

How come they donīt sell it in the US?? they should. And by the way the 100HP engine mentioned is the basic one. It comes in Europe (1.8T) with the same engine used in the Golf GTI. I think they gonna redesigned for 2003.

They don't ship these to the states because we have way to many laws. Cars in germany arn't the same stock as they are here. In Germany they hall ass and here they turn them into pussy comuter cars. I don't understand that. I think the Us is a little afraid of compatition. It's the stupid emision laws. They are truly a pain in the rear.

Anyone hear any news about the next generation A3 coming over to the states? We might actually get an S3 with the 2.7L biTurbo :D
I saw a blurb about it in one of the car rags... cant remember which one. They were comparing it to the next BMW 1 series. That 1 (BMW) might see an M version w/ a 240hp engine... :silly2:

Compeitition is a good thing indeed :smoka:

The present A3 is avaliable as S3 with 210 hp (earlier versions) and 225 (i think) hp now... and it handles really nice...

Hey Tom_S8

Yeah I like the current looks of the S3. I've seen the next generation and I'm not too thrilled about the looks, but hey if it comes to America I wont be complaining :D
