'91 Tercel - problem(s)

Okay, it's my first time posting so be gentle if I break a rule or two. So yeah, anyways. Me and my dad were workin on the Tercel today. The CV boot on the axle was broken so that needed fixing. We also replaced the front right fender with a newer one (for a 94 tercel). Now everything went well. It took two days to find a store with a big enough clamp, buy a new axle, replace the bolts I had accidentally broke, and finish the whole freakin car. We finished half an hour ago and so we went test driving. Now after all that hard work we kinda got the impression that everything was fine. That was when it happened: an eerie, heart-breaking grind in the same area we fixed the axle. We checked what could be the problem but we honestly don't have a clue. So here I am, trying to find out what it is from you guys. Any ideas what could be causing this sound and why?

Any help would be awesome!

Did you put the correct grease in the CV boot? A dry CV joint might act like you describe.
